  7. DECadvantage ╤ 3270 Emulators for SCO UNIX (and the companion product "3270
  8. Emulator for DOS") requires the DECadvantage ╤ SNA Server for SCO UNIX
  9. environment. They can be used as native display emulators, or from a
  10. user-written application program written in the C programming language. For
  11. this purpose, the emulators offer an API which is compatible to the EHLLAPI as
  12. specified by IBM. The 3270 Emulators can also be used for sending and receiving
  13. ASCII and binary files, with several options to and from IBM hosts. The 3270
  14. file transfer program interacts on the host side with the INDILE file
  15. transfer program. It is implemented as an interactive program that uses the
  16. EHLLAPI of the 3270 Emulators. Included in the 3270 Emulator for UNIX and for
  17. DOS is a Terminal Definition Utility for changing the keyboard layout, by
  18. redefining keys to correspond to the specific needs of the users. Code
  19. translation tables for 31 national EBCDIC versions are included, allowing
  20. international communication. More code translation tables can be generated by
  21. using the TDU
